Are you Looking for Action? Adventure?
If you answered 'yes' to the above questions, you'll enjoy Snides, the book that introduces a new all-action hero, John Pilgrim, not forgetting, of course, the feisty female lead , Sally Brandon. If you are: Tired of thrillers that promise action and adventure, but never deliver? Bored with Colombian drug lords, Arab terrorists who want to destroy the world, crooked politicians who want to rule the world, or evil mega-corporations that want to own the world? Frustrated with techno-thrillers that read more like weapons manuals than fictional adventures? Tired of super-heroes whose guns never miss, and who never get hurt? Fed up of heroes who are: burned-out cops, broken-down private detectives, or jaded ex-CIA/FBI/NSA agents? Looking for a female lead character who isn't just 'arm candy' for the hero, but is a blending of Tomb Raider Lara Croft, Sarah Connor from Terminator 2, and British all-action woman Modesty Blaise? Longing for believable characters? Looking for a story that has been heavily researched for historical accuracy?
The Search is Over! Snides is a fast-moving action thriller, with believable characters, real-life settings, and villains who include London gangsters and renegade Nazis! John Pilgrim, a veteran of Britain's famous Special Air Service, the SAS, runs a shop in London, England. His shop specializes in military collectibles, which range from British Army medals to Nazi uniforms and insignia. He meets a feisty half-American reporter, Sally Brandon, who not only looks good, but shoots straight too, and she isn't afraid to use her custom .45 caliber Colt Commander! Pilgrim gets his hands on one of the four original copies of Hitler's last political testament, together with some incriminating photographs of a British renegade, who fought on the German side in the British Free Corps, a unit of the Waffen-SS. The bad guys desperately want the photographs back, and that's when the bullets start to fly and when the bad guys start to die! The book takes the reader on a thrill-packed journey from London to Belfast in Northern Ireland, and from the Omani Desert to battle-torn Berlin in May 1945. It will also tell what really happened to Martin Bormann, in Berlin, in the closing days of WWII A sequel, Pilgrim's Banner, will be published in early 2008. This tells of Pilgrim's discovery of the 'Blood Banner', the Nazi flag carried at all of Hitler's Nazi Party rallies. The banner, thought to have been destroyed in WWII, is worth big money, and many people want to get it away from Pilgrim, including an ex-SS tank commander, who sends his sexy daughter to attend a class at Pilgrim's shooting school in Arizona to get it back. There's lots of well-researched historical detail in both Snides and Pilgrim's Banner which will satisfy any reader interested in WWII history. In addition to this, gun owners will find the chapters dealing with Pilgrim and Sally's shooting school, SAS Training, interesting, and what's more, they may also learn some useful shooting tips!. For more details on John Pilgrim and the two books (so far) about his exploits, see the following pages. A new Pilgrim adventure novel, Pilgrim's Pistol, is in preparation right now. In this, John Pilgrim buys a collection of Nazi medals from an Irishman. The medals turn out to have been awarded to Waffen-SS General Hermann Fegelein, who was married to Eva Braun's sister, making him the brother in law of Adolf Hitler. (This didn't stop Hitler from having him executed for treason in April 1945, however!). Later, when Pilgrim and Sally are having dinner with some friends, they interrupt a planned IRA bombing attack. Pilgrim chases the bomber, and in the struggle the bomber drops a pistol as he escapes. The pistol turns out to be a Walther PPK that was originally owned by Eva Braun!
